Organs examined in Small Parts Scans
Scrotal
- Testes: Checked for size, shape, and any masses or lesions
- Epididymis: Assessed for swelling, inflammation, or cysts
- Tunica Vaginalis: Examined for fluid buildup (e.g., hydrocele)
- Scrotal Wall: Inspected for thickening or abnormal masses
- Blood Flow: Measured using Doppler ultrasound for proper circulation
Soft tissue
- Subcutaneous Tissue: Checked for cysts, lipomas, or hematomas under the skin
- Fascia: Examined for signs of inflammation or thickening
- Lymph Nodes: Evaluated for enlargement or abnormalities (infection or malignancy)
- Soft Tissue Masses: Includes cysts, abscesses, lipomas, ganglion cysts — assessed for size, texture, and blood flow
- Hernias: Detected by tissue protrusion through weak abdominal wall areas (e.g., inguinal or umbilical)

Neck
- Thyroid Gland: Assessed for nodules, goiter (enlargement), or inflammation (thyroiditis)
- Parathyroid Glands: Checked for abnormalities like adenomas or hyperplasia affecting calcium regulation
- Lymph Nodes: Evaluated for size, shape, and internal features to detect infection, inflammation, or malignancy
- Salivary Glands: (Parotid, submandibular, sublingual) examined for stones, infections, or tumors
Vascular
- Carotid Arteries: Checked for plaque, stenosis, or narrowing — key indicators of stroke risk
- Renal Arteries (Kidneys): Evaluated for blockages or narrowing that may impact kidney function
- Abdominal Aorta: Monitored for aneurysms or abnormal dilation to prevent rupture
- Upper & Lower Extremity Arteries: Assessed for blockages, narrowing, or aneurysms
- Upper & Lower Extremity Veins: Examined for deep vein thrombosis (DVT), varicose veins, or valve insufficiency
