Areas Examined in Vascular Scans
- Arteries: Checked for narrowing (stenosis), blockages, aneurysms, or plaque buildup that may restrict blood flow.
- Veins: Evaluated for deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous insufficiency, or other abnormalities affecting blood return to the heart.
- Carotid Arteries: Examined for plaque buildup or narrowing that may increase the risk of stroke.
- Peripheral Vessels: Blood flow in the arms and legs is assessed to detect circulation issues, clots, or arterial disease.
